  • 2 medium to large yellow onions (about 1 lb)
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut onion into thin round slices. Drizzle oil over the slices and then gently separate the rings.
  2. Place the onion rings in the air fryer basket. Fry them initially at 300F for 10 minutes. Gently mix the rings at 5-minute intervals.
  3. Lower the temperature to 240F. Continue heating the rings, mixing them every 5 minutes. It will take 15-18 minutes @240F to achieve the desired color and texture.
