Broken Glass Jello is a visually stunning and delicious dessert featuring colorful jello cubes suspended in a creamy condensed milk mixture. This easy-to-make treat combines four vibrant jello flavors for a fun, mosaic-like look that’s perfect for parties or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Jello Cubes

  • 4 different flavours of jello (1 package each)
  • 4 cups boiling water (1 cup per jello flavour)

Gelatine Mixture

  • 3 tablespoons gelatine powder
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 (14 oz) can condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare Jello Cubes: Dissolve each of the four jello flavors separately in 1 cup of boiling water. Pour each flavor into separate containers and refrigerate for about 1 hour until fully set.
  2. Dissolve Gelatine: While the jello is setting, sprinkle the gelatine powder into 1/4 cup of cold water and let it bloom. After it’s fully dissolved, add 1 cup of hot water and the entire can of condensed milk. Stir thoroughly until smooth and combined.
  3. Cut Jello: Once the individual jello blocks are set, cut them into small cubes and place them randomly into a rectangular serving dish or your preferred mold.
  4. Assemble Dessert: Pour the condensed milk and gelatine mixture evenly over the jello cubes in the dish.
  5. Refrigerate to Set: Transfer the dish to the refrigerator and chill for 1 to 2 hours until the entire dessert is completely set and firm.
  6. Serve: Use a sharp knife to cut the broken glass jello into cubes or desired portions and serve immediately for a refreshing, colorful treat.

Notes

  • Use a variety of vibrant jello flavors like strawberry, lime, orange, and blueberry for the best visual effect.
  • Ensure the gelatine powder is fully dissolved to achieve a smooth creamy texture with the condensed milk.
  • Cut jello cubes evenly for a nice mosaic appearance.
  • This dessert is best served chilled and consumed the same day for optimal texture.
  • Can be prepared a day ahead and kept refrigerated if covered well to prevent drying out.
