Ingredients

Scale

Filling:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp green onions, chopped
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Crescent Rolls:

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp dried parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Assemble the crescent rolls: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll up the dough, starting from the wide end and tucking the edges to seal in the filling. Place the stuffed crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake: Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with dried parsley if desired. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and fully cooked.
  5. Serve: Serve the chicken stuffed crescent rolls warm as an appetizer or main dish. They pair well with a side salad or dipping sauce, like ranch or marinara.

Notes

  • You can add diced jalapeños or hot sauce to the filling for a spicy kick.
  • Substitute cheddar cheese with mozzarella or pepper jack for a different flavor.
  • These rolls are perfect for using leftover rotisserie chicken.
