  • 1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Hungarian sweet paprika
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided

For the Sauce:

  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Hungarian sweet paprika
  • 2 cups chicken broth, low sodium
  • Kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper, to taste
  • 3/4 cup full-fat sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Toss the chicken pieces with flour and paprika in a bowl.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Brown the chicken in butter until cooked through; set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce: Cook onion, garlic, flour, and paprika in butter. Stir in chicken broth and simmer until thickened.
  4. Finish the Dish: Stir in sour cream, add chicken back to the skillet, and garnish with parsley.
