Ingredients

Scale

Dip Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 cup canned artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream with the minced garlic. Use a spatula or electric mixer to blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the vegetables and cheese: Fold in the chopped spinach, artichoke hearts, and shredded mozzarella cheese thoroughly into the cream cheese mixture, ensuring even distribution of ingredients.
  3. Transfer to baking dish: Spoon the prepared dip mixture into a greased 8-inch baking dish (or similar) and spread it evenly with the back of a spoon or spatula.
  4. Bake: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the dip for 20-25 minutes or until it’s bubbly around the edges and begins to turn lightly golden on top.
  5. Serve hot: Remove the dip from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with bread slices, crackers, or tortilla chips for dipping.

Notes

  • Ensure the spinach is thoroughly drained to prevent the dip from becoming watery.
  • You can substitute mozzarella with parmesan for a sharper taste.
  • This dip can be prepared a day ahead and baked just before serving.
  • For a spicier kick, add some crushed red pepper flakes or hot sauce to the mixture.
