Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Heat the oven to 450°F/230ºC.
  2. Prepare the Dough: Sift flour and salt into a bowl, then rub in the butter until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Add milk and mix until sticky.
  3. Knead the Dough: Turn out onto a floured board, knead briefly, then pat into a round. Cut with a floured cutter.
  4. Bake: Place on a lined tray and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes.
  5. Rest: Remove from the oven and wrap in a towel to keep soft.
