Ingredients

Scale

Steak and Seasoning

  • 1 ½ lb Steak (top sirloin, strip, rib eye, or filet)
  • ½ tsp kosher Salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp rosemary, chopped

For Cooking

  • ½ tbsp oil (olive, avocado, or similar)
  • 5 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • ½ tsp Red pepper flakes

Garnish

  • Chopped Parsley

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak: Cut the steak into 1-inch bite-sized pieces. Place in a bowl and season with kosher salt, pepper, and chopped rosemary. Massage the seasonings into the steak evenly. Let the bowl sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes to enhance flavor and tenderness, or proceed immediately if short on time.
  2. Sear the Steak: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the oil. Once the oil is hot, add the steak pieces in a single layer without overcrowding. Let them sear undisturbed for about 1 minute, then stir and continue cooking for a total of 3 minutes until nicely browned. Work in batches if necessary to avoid crowding. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make Garlic Butter Sauce: Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter to the same skillet and let it melt. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, stirring continuously for about 30 seconds to release their flavors without burning the garlic. Return the steak bites to the skillet and cook for an additional 3 minutes, allowing the steak to soak in the garlic butter sauce.
  4. Serve and Garnish: Remove the steak bites from the pan and transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness. Serve immediately alongside your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a green salad.

Notes

  • Use high-quality steak cuts like top sirloin or rib eye for best results.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan when searing; this ensures a good crust and prevents steaming.
  • You can adjust red pepper flakes to control the spiciness according to your preference.
  • Letting the steak rest at room temperature before cooking helps it cook more evenly.
  • Serve with crusty bread to soak up the delicious garlic butter sauce.
