Ingredients

Scale

For the ground beef:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the vegetables:

  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 green bell peppers, diced
  • 8 mushrooms, diced

For serving:

  • 4 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef: In a skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat and add beef broth and worcestershire sauce. Cook for 4-5 minutes until most liquid is absorbed. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Sauté vegetables: Heat olive oil in the skillet, then add onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms. Cook for 5-6 minutes until softened. Return cooked beef to the skillet and mix well.
  3. Serve: Divide the mixture into bowls, topping each with a slice of provolone cheese to melt. Alternatively, leave in the skillet, top with provolone, let melt, then divide into servings. Serve as is or on toasted buns.
