Ingredients

Scale

Seafood Filling

  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 cup lump crab meat
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Biscuit & Topping

  • 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
  • fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for baking.
  2. Prepare Seafood Filling: In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, lump crab meat, shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well blended.
  3. Flatten Biscuits: Take each biscuit from the refrigerated dough and roll it out into a disc approximately 1/4 inch thick to create a base for the filling.
  4. Stuff Biscuits: Place a generous spoonful of the seafood mixture onto each flattened biscuit, fold the biscuit over to enclose the filling, and pinch the edges tightly to seal completely.
  5. Prepare for Baking: Brush the tops of each biscuit melt with the melted butter to help achieve a golden brown crust during baking. Arrange them spaced evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until the biscuit melts are puffed and golden brown on top.
  7. Cool and Garnish: Remove from the oven and let cool for about 3-4 minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh or completely thawed shrimp and crab meat.
  • You can substitute Old Bay seasoning with Cajun seasoning if you prefer a spicier flavor.
  • Make sure to pinch the biscuit edges tightly to prevent the filling from leaking during baking.
  • Serve warm for the best taste and texture.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated gently in the oven.
