Fresh Strawberries:

  • 2 pints fresh strawberries, sliced

Sugar:

  • 1/2 cup sugar for strawberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar for cream cheese mixture

Cheesecake Filling:

  • 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice
  • 3 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped

Additional Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf (10-3/4 ounces) frozen pound cake, thawed and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 3 ounces semisweet chocolate, grated
  • Optional: Chocolate curls and additional sliced strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberries: Toss sliced strawberries with 1/2 cup sugar; set aside.
  2. Make Cheesecake Filling: In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, orange juice, and remaining sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped cream; set aside.
  3. Assemble Trifle: Drain strawberries, reserving juice. Gently toss cake cubes with reserved juice. Layer half of the cake in a trifle dish. Top with a third of the cream cheese mixture, half of the strawberries, and half of the grated chocolate. Repeat the layers. Finish with the remaining cream cheese mixture on top. Garnish with chocolate curls and strawberries if desired.
  4. Chill and Serve: Cover the trifle and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
