Ingredients

Scale

Yellow Layer Ingredients

  • 2 oranges, peeled and quartered (about 1 pound)
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen mango cubes (about 10 ounces)
  • 1 cup coconut water (or coconut milk for a richer flavor)
  • 1 ripe banana, peeled
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons collagen powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric (optional)

Pink Layer Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups yellow layer smoothie (prepared from above)
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries (about 12 ounces)

Toppings (Optional)

  • Hemp seeds
  • Bee pollen

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Yellow Layer: Place the oranges, frozen mango cubes, coconut water (or coconut milk), ripe banana, vanilla extract, collagen powder, and optional turmeric into a high-powered blender. Blend until completely smooth. This mixture will yield about 5 cups of smoothie. Pour 2 1/2 cups of this yellow layer evenly into 4 to 5 glasses as the base layer.
  2. Create the Pink Layer: With the remaining 2 1/2 cups of the yellow layer still in the blender, add the frozen strawberries. Blend again until smooth to create the pink strawberry layer, resulting in approximately 4 cups of smoothie.
  3. Assemble Layers: Slowly pour or spoon the pink strawberry layer over the yellow base layer in each glass. Pour gently to maintain the distinct two-layer look and avoid mixing the colors.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle hemp seeds and/or bee pollen on top if desired. Serve immediately to enjoy the fresh, vibrant flavors and appealing presentation.

Notes

  • Using frozen mango and strawberries helps create a thick, creamy texture without needing ice.
  • Coconut water makes the smoothie lighter; coconut milk will add richness and creaminess.
  • Collagen powder is optional but adds protein and supports skin health.
  • Ground turmeric can provide anti-inflammatory benefits but is optional.
  • For best layering effect, pour the pink layer slowly over a spoon.
  • You can substitute fresh fruit if frozen is not available but may need to add ice to chill.
  • The smoothie is best enjoyed fresh and can separate if left standing too long.
