Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 package of Hawaiian rolls (12 rolls)
  • 500 g leftover turkey or substitute with deli turkey
  • ½ cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 cup grated white cheddar cheese or 68 slices Havarti cheese

Spreads and Toppings

  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Everything But the Bagel seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Prepare the rolls: Carefully slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally in a single layer, keeping the top and bottom halves intact, and place the bottom half on a baking dish or sheet.
  3. Make the spread: In a small bowl, mix the Dijon mustard and mayonnaise until smooth, then spread this mixture evenly over the cut side of the bottom half of the rolls.
  4. Assemble the sliders: Layer the sliced or shredded turkey evenly over the mustard-mayo spread, spoon the cranberry sauce over the turkey, and sprinkle grated white cheddar cheese or lay slices of Havarti cheese evenly on top.
  5. Add the top layer: Place the top halves of the Hawaiian rolls over the assembled fillings to form complete sliders.
  6. Butter and season: Brush the melted butter generously over the tops of the sliders and evenly sprinkle the Everything But the Bagel seasoning for added flavor and texture.
  7. Bake covered: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes to heat through and start melting the cheese.
  8. Bake uncovered: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese has fully melted.
  9. Serve: Remove from oven and serve immediately while warm and gooey for the best taste experience.

Notes

  • Use fresh cheese: Grate your cheese just before assembling for better meltiness and creaminess, since pre-shredded cheese can contain anti-caking agents that affect texture.
  • Butter evenly: Apply melted butter generously and sprinkle seasoning just before baking to ensure flavorful, golden-brown tops.
