Ingredients

Scale

Cinnamon Roll Base

  • 1 can (8 count) refrigerated cinnamon rolls

Filling

  • 21 ounces canned apple pie filling

Topping

  • Icing packet included with cinnamon rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and thoroughly grease 8 cups of a muffin pan to prevent sticking.
  2. Shape Cinnamon Rolls: Separate the cinnamon roll dough into individual sections and press one piece firmly into the bottom and up the sides of each greased muffin tin cup, creating a dough shell.
  3. Add Apple Filling: Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the canned apple pie filling into the center of each pressed cinnamon roll dough cup, distributing evenly.
  4. Bake: Place the muffin pan in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are puffed up and golden brown on top.
  5. Cool and Glaze: Remove from oven and allow the apple pie cups to cool for 5 minutes. Then drizzle the included cinnamon roll icing over each cup to add sweetness and a glossy finish.

Notes

  • You can substitute canned apple pie filling with homemade spiced apples for a fresher taste.
  • For extra crunch, sprinkle chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans on top before baking.
  • Serve these warm for the best flavor experience.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days; reheat briefly before serving.
