Potato Mixture:

  • 2 pounds potatoes
  • 1/2 tablespoon flour

  • Pinch of pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut and Parboil Potatoes: Cut the potatoes into fourths and parboil them in water.
  2. Grate Potatoes: Once cooled, grate the potatoes using a large grater.
  3. Mix Ingredients: Place grated potatoes in a bowl and add flour, salt, pepper, and onions. Mix gently.
  4. Let Stand: Allow the mixture to stand for 5 minutes.
  5. Heat Oil: Heat oil to 355-360F.
  6. Shape Tater Tots: Use 1 1/2 teaspoons of the mixture to form each tater tot.
  7. Fry: Fry the tater tots in batches until golden brown.
  8. Drain: Drain the tater tots on paper towels.
  9. Air Fryer: Chill tater tots, spray with olive oil, and air fry at 400℉ for about 10 minutes, turning halfway through cooking.
