No-Bake Chocolate Pudding Pie is a simple and delicious dessert featuring layers of creamy cheesecake, rich chocolate pudding, and fluffy Cool Whip atop a buttery graham cracker crust. This family-favorite pie requires no baking and is perfect for any occasion or gathering.

Ingredients

Scale

For the crust:

  • 1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 10 full graham cracker sheets)
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar (slightly less than 1/4 cup preferred)

For the pie:

  • 1 (8 ounce) package Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups thawed Cool Whip, divided
  • 1 3/4 cups cold milk
  • 1 (4 1/2-serving size) package (3.9 ounces) Jello Chocolate Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
  • Optional: grated chocolate for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare crust: In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Firmly press the mixture with your fingers into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie plate to form an even crust. Refrigerate the crust for 1 hour before adding the filling to help it set.
  2. Make cream cheese layer: Using a stand mixer or hand-held mixer, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar on medium speed until smooth and well blended. Gently fold in 1 cup of the thawed Cool Whip. Spread this creamy mixture evenly over the chilled crust, smoothing the top.
  3. Prepare pudding layer: In a medium bowl, pour the cold milk and add the dry chocolate pudding mix. Whisk vigorously for 2 minutes until the pudding is smooth and begins to thicken. Spoon the pudding layer gently over the cream cheese layer, spreading evenly.
  4. Chill pie: Refrigerate the pie for 3 to 4 hours or overnight to allow the layers to set completely.
  5. Finish and serve: Just before serving, spread the remaining 1/2 cup Cool Whip on top of the pie. Optionally, sprinkle grated chocolate over the top for garnish. Slice the pie and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can substitute a store-bought graham cracker crust instead of making your own, though homemade crust is preferred for best flavor and texture.
  • To prevent plastic wrap from sticking to the pie during chilling, lightly insert a few toothpicks into the top surface before covering.
  • Leftover pie will keep well in the refrigerator, covered, for up to 5 days.
  • This pie can be made up to 2 days in advance. If making ahead, refrigerate the pie before adding the final Cool Whip topping and chocolate shavings.
  • The crust can also be made 2 days ahead of time; cover and refrigerate until ready to assemble.
