Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 36 Oreo cookies
  • 6 tbsp butter, melted

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping, folded in

Chocolate Pudding Layer

  • 7.8 oz instant chocolate pudding mix (2 boxes, 3.9 oz each)
  • 3 cups whole milk, cold

Topping

  • 2 cups whipped topping
  • 1 cup crushed Oreos (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Make the Oreo crust: Mix the finely crushed Oreo cookies with the melted butter until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish to form a tight crust layer. Refrigerate for 15 minutes to allow the crust to firm up.
  2. Add the cream cheese layer: Beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in 1 cup of whipped topping until well combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the chilled Oreo crust layer.
  3. Add the chocolate pudding layer: Whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix together with the cold whole milk for about 2 minutes, or until the mixture thickens and becomes glossy. Spread the pudding evenly over the cream cheese layer, extending it to the edges of the dish.
  4. Top and chill: Spread the remaining 2 cups of whipped topping gently and evenly over the pudding layer, covering it completely. Sprinkle crushed Oreos generously over the top for added texture and decoration.
  5. Set and serve: Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight so it fully sets and the layers hold their shape. Once set, cut into squares and serve chilled.

Notes

  • For best results, ensure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature before mixing.
  • This dessert can be prepared a day ahead, making it perfect for parties or gatherings.
  • Use cold milk to help the pudding mix thicken properly.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For a lighter version, use reduced-fat cream cheese and whipped topping.
